ATEX certification for knife gate valves

Our DOMINO knife gate valves types AT100, AT150 and AT200 are now available with ATEX certification for Zone 0 and 20. This certification ensures that our gate valves can also be used reliably and safely in potentially explosive atmospheres.

DOMINO knife gate valves are ideally equipped for applications in the following areas:

Zone 0: In areas in which an explosive atmosphere in the form of a mixture of air and hazardous substances in the form of gas, vapor or mist is present continuously, for long periods or frequently.
Zone 20: In areas in which an explosive atmosphere in the form of a cloud of combustible dust in air is present continuously, for long periods or frequently.

Why is ATEX important for knife gate valves?

ATEX certifications are crucial for safety in potentially explosive atmospheres. Knife gate valves used in such environments must meet strict safety requirements to minimize the risk of explosions. ATEX-certified knife gate valves such as our DOMINO models AT100, AT150 and AT200 ensure that they operate reliably and safely even under extreme conditions. In addition to the models mentioned above, we have the following variants with special certifications and certificates:

Knife gate valve AT200F: This knife gate valve has a type examination certificate for zone 20 and is also pressure shock-resistant and flameproof up to 10 bar, making it particularly robust and reliable.
Knife gate valve AT500F / AT510F: These models are also equipped with a type examination certificate for Zone 20 and offer maximum safety and reliability in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Both series (AT200F and AT500F/AT510F) have been certified for explosion pressure resistance up to 18 bar (DN200 - DN600) and 10 bar (DN700 - DN800) in accordance with DIN EN 14460.
