Medium: Air at 70°C
Pre-pressure: 1.65 bar abs.
Volume flow: 3700 Nm³/h

Task definition

The previously used manually operated butterfly valves were causing some problems. Our solution was to achieve the following:

Improvement of the control characteristic
Automation of the system control
Reduction in energy consumption through the use of low pressure loss valves

Solution: GEFA-DOMINO control valve DN 250 with optimized special control orifice

The installation of our electrically operated control valves instead of the previous butterfly valves led to considerable improvements. With a pressure loss of only approx. 1.98 mbar when the valve is fully open and maximum flow, the DOMINO control valves offer an energy-efficient solution.

Result

Energy cost savings and rapid amortization of conversion costs!

The switch to our control valves led to significant savings in energy costs. The amortization of the conversion costs of approx. 50,000€ was already achieved after approx. 1 year of operation after commissioning.
